Terms of Use
What you agree to by using Staffkey, as a candidate or as an employer.
Version 2026-09-01 · updated 1 September 2026
This document is a draft. It still contains 5 placeholders that a lawyer has to replace. The production build refuses to ship while any remain.
1. Who we are
Staffkey is a hospitality recruitment platform operated by [[PLACEHOLDER: registered entity name]], a company registered in India with CIN [[PLACEHOLDER: CIN]], at [[PLACEHOLDER: registered address]].
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company. "You" means whoever is reading — a candidate looking for work, or an employer looking for staff.
2. What the platform does
We hold profiles of hospitality workers and show them to employers. An employer searching sees a masked profile: role, experience, locality, and initials. They see a name and a phone number only after they spend credits to unlock that profile, and the candidate is told when they do.
We are not your employer and we are not an employment agency. We do not guarantee that an employer will contact you, that a job exists, or that a candidate will take it.
3. Accounts
A candidate account is opened against a mobile number you have proved you control. An employer account is opened against an email address you have proved you control, and is unverified until an operator has checked the company's registration documents. An unverified employer can post a vacancy and hold credits, and can see no candidate data of any kind.
You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at [[PLACEHOLDER: support email]] if you think somebody else is using it.
4. What you may not do
- Represent a company you do not work for.
- Unlock profiles to build a list to sell, rent, or pass on.
- Contact a candidate about anything other than work.
- Upload a document that is not yours to upload.
- Use anything automated to read this platform in bulk.
We close accounts for these, and we keep the audit trail of why.
5. Credits
Credits pay for unlocking a candidate's contact details. A credit is spent at the moment of the unlock; unlocking the same candidate twice costs nothing the second time. Credits are not money, do not expire on a schedule we have not told you about, and are not refundable in cash. If we take a credit for something that did not work, tell us and we will put it back.
6. Employment records
An employer who has unlocked a candidate can record that the candidate worked for them, and how it ended. That record is visible to other employers in a limited form. The candidate is told the moment it is filed and always has a right of reply that is shown beside it.
The Employment Record Policy governs this in detail and is part of these terms.
7. Our liability
We provide the platform as it is. To the extent Indian law allows, we are not liable for a hire that went wrong, a job that did not exist, income you did not earn, or anything an employer or a candidate did to the other.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ending it
You can close your account at any time — a candidate from their account page, an employer by writing to us. We may close an account that breaks section 4. What happens to your data afterwards is in the Privacy Policy.
9. Law
These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts at [[PLACEHOLDER: jurisdiction city]] have exclusive jurisdiction.
10. Changes
When we change these terms materially we bump the version at the top of this page, and you are asked to agree again the next time you sign in. We do not change them quietly.
