What we hold about you, who sees it, and how to get rid of it.
Version 2026-09-01 · updated 1 September 2026
This document is a draft. It still contains 4 placeholders that a lawyer has to replace. The production build refuses to ship while any remain.
1. What we hold
If you are a candidate: your name, mobile number, the resume you uploaded or that reached us through an employer, the career history we read out of it, the roles and cities you want, and an identity document if you chose to verify yourself.
If you are an employer: your email address, your company's name and registration details, the documents you uploaded to prove them, and everything your account did on the platform.
For everybody, we keep a log of the actions taken on the platform — who unlocked whom, who changed what, and when. That log is how questions about this platform get answered honestly, and it is not optional.
2. Your identity document
If you verify your identity we take a keyed one-way fingerprint of the ID number and discard the number itself. We never store an Aadhaar or PAN number in a form we can read back. The document image is held in private storage and is reachable only by an operator making a verification decision.
3. Who sees your profile
An employer searching sees your initials, role, experience, and locality. They do not see your name or your phone number, and our own systems do not load them for a masked view.
An employer sees your name and number only after spending credits to unlock your profile. You are told every time that happens, with the employer's name.
4. Resumes that reached us from an employer
Some profiles begin as a resume an employer shared with us rather than as somebody signing up. If that is you:
- Nothing about you was published. The profile is not searchable until you claim it.
- We send you one invitation with a link to claim it or delete it.
- If you do nothing, we delete the resume and everything read out of it after the retention window on the claim page — we do not get to keep it for having asked.
5. Deleting your account
A candidate can ask us to delete their account from their account page. We wait seven days — long enough to change your mind — and then remove your name, your phone number, your email address, your resume and every document from our systems.
What survives is deliberately narrow: the fact that an employer once unlocked *a* profile, and the credit entry that paid for it, against an anonymous placeholder. Without that an employer's own history and accounts stop adding up. Nothing in it identifies you.
6. Who we share with
- Employers, as described in section 3.
- Our processors: hosting, object storage, SMS ([[PLACEHOLDER: SMS provider]]), and email ([[PLACEHOLDER: email provider]]). They act on our instructions and hold nothing of their own.
- Anyone the law obliges us to, when it obliges us to.
We do not sell your data and we do not rent it out.
7. Where it lives and how long
Data is held on servers in India. We keep an active profile for as long as the account is open, unclaimed imported resumes for the window on the claim page, and the audit log for [[PLACEHOLDER: audit retention period]].
8. Your rights
You can ask us what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Career history is read-only to you by design — it comes off a document — so a correction goes through us rather than through an edit box, and the original document stays on file as the evidence for what it says.
Write to [[PLACEHOLDER: privacy email]], or use the grievance route if we have not answered.
9. Changes
A material change bumps the version at the top of this page, and you are asked to agree again the next time you sign in.
